153 fishes

John 21: 11: Simon Peter went up, and drew the net to land full of great fishes, an hundred and fifty and three: and for all there were so many, yet was not the net broken.

When Jesus gathered the twelve disciples to Himself, He made them fishers of men according to Matthew 4:19: And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. When the disciples went forth as fishers of men, they were following the example of Christ Himself, who was a master fisherman. Jesus’ public ministry impacted the lives of all kinds of people, and the four gospels make special mention of specific ones who greatly benefited from their crossing paths with Jesus. The number of people whose interactions with Jesus were of a positive nature was 153.
